At 1:20 am on Wednesday, UCPD received a report of a man who exposed himself in the courtyard of Unit 3 and subsequently entered Spens-Black Hall, where a witness alleged he washed his genitals in a water fountain.
The alleged suspect was placed under citizen’s arrest for indecent exposure as well as the annoyance/molestation of a victim under the age of 18, according to UCPD spokesperson Capt. Sabrina Reich. He was later detained in Alameda County Jail for a felony indecent exposure under the jurisdiction of UCPD and a misdemeanor indecent exposure under the jurisdiction of Berkeley Police Department.
Six people requested that the alleged suspect be prosecuted, Reich said in an email.
