Cal middle linebacker and the Bears’ second-leading tackler during the 2022 season, Oluwafemi Oladejo, entered the transfer portal Monday morning, per a Tweet on his personal Twitter. Oladejo has two years of eligibility remaining.
Around five hours later, Oladejo announced, once again via his personal Twitter, that he had committed to UCLA. UCLA, now in the Pac-12, is anticipating joining the Big Ten for the 2024 season.
Oladejo recorded 91 total tackles last season over the course of 11 appearances, second-most on the team to fellow linebacker Jackson Sirmon (104 total tackles).
He played some of his best football towards the end of the year, recording a single-game high 17 tackles against UCLA on Nov. 25, the most by a Cal player in a game since 2019. Oladejo also recorded the only interception of his collegiate career against Oregon at the end of October along with a 26-yard return.
