At approximately 11:34 p.m. on Tuesday, an unwanted sexual advance was reported at Latimer Hall on campus.
A female victim reportedly fled to the lobby of the campus building in fear after noticing a male had started to follow her, according to UCPD Sgt. Patrick O’Donnell. While inside the lobby, the man reportedly brushed against the woman’s buttocks before fleeing the scene.
The report filed a code 243.4(E)(1) violation: “Touch Person Intimately Against Will For Sexual Arousal/Etc.”
O’Donnell described the suspect as an 18-year-old Hispanic male with long black hair, approximately 5’5 tall and a skinny build. The suspect was dressed in a blue beanie, white basketball shoes, light-colored ripped jeans and a black windbreaker covering his blue shirt. O’Donnell said officers are unsure as to whether or not the suspect was a student.
UCPD officers searched the surrounding area after arriving at the site but were unable to locate the suspect, according to O’Donnell. He added that the UCPD detective department is currently looking into further details of the case.
“It’s under investigation at this time,” O’Donnell said.
