Reporters from across the world descended upon Phoenix, Arizona to get the latest insider scoop at Super Bowl LVII. Hosting 11 total press conferences for the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, the NFL held the media-exclusive events across hotel ballrooms, convention centers and stadiums. Here are some of the funniest quotes that came out of them.

Q: Where’s the best place in Philly to grab a cheesesteak?

Jalen Hurts, the Eagles’ starting QB: “I have a cheesesteak that I made at Foodchasers. It’s in Philly. It’s called the Jalen special. I put my little ingredients on it. I made it just right so if you ever want to go try one, go to Foodchasers.”

Q: Can you explain why ketchup is your favorite condiment?

Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs’ starting quarterback and Super Bowl MVP: “It started at a young age. I don’t know when it started exactly, but I started eating ketchup on everything when I was a little kid, so it just kind of stuck. I tried to get away from it a little bit — and then I realized I just like it too much, so I might as well stay with it. Don’t worry, Sterling’s already on the ketchup trend and she calls it ‘daddy’s sauce.’ So, she knows exactly what ketchup is and loves it.”

Q: What is your leg workout routine and have you ever had a cramp during a kick?

Jake Elliott, Eagles’ place kicker: “I do a lot of quick twitch stuff, a lot of box jumps, stuff like that. You’re not going to find me loading up a squat bar or anything like that. We were playing down in Dallas my sophomore year of college and, on a kickoff, I was approaching the ball and my right calf just grabbed. It was like 110 degrees, swampy, and just kind of grabbed so that wasn’t a lot of fun.”

Q: What is your favorite song on the Philly Special Christmas album?

Jordan Mailata, the Eagles’ offensive tackle: “Blue Christmas with Lane and Jason Kelce singing. You should listen to that one, it’s a good one.”

Q: What is your favorite song by Rihanna?

Andy Reid, the Chiefs’ head coach: “Oh boy. You need to ask Patrick that one since you set him up yesterday — or whoever set him up yesterday with that question.”

Q: Does your brother, Travis, like to call heads or tails more?

Jason Kelce: “Man, growing up my dad was a big heads guy. And then, somewhere along, like “tails never fails” became super popular. I would say the vast majority of guys call tails now. I don’t know what (Travis) is leaning towards. I’d have to ask him.”

Q: Your mom said yesterday, “You’re not nice to (Jason) everyday,” is that right?

Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end: “Listen, if we’re not having fun in here, I don’t know what we’re doing. I think that’s what brothers are for, right? To keep everybody on the edge of their seat and have some fun. But don’t get it twisted, it goes both ways.”

Q: What are you drinking tonight to celebrate your team’s win in Super Bowl LVII?

Chris Jones: “I don’t know, I just got a bottle of Yamazaki, Japanese whiskey. 25 years old, someone sent it to the hotel, and I’m going to pop it open tonight, ‘bout to go crazy’.”
