Women’s crew finished out its season with an eighth-place in the national championships while the men’s team is off to the races this weekend.

The Guardians and Cortes need to figure things out soon, while the Giants and Alvarez will hope to continue their fiery play for the rest of the season.

Slowly, however, I started to see an ongoing trend regarding how companies would take advantage of this media. The older I got, the more I began to see how my favorite YouTubers and influencers would amplify their sponsors in their videos or posts. 

With the ever-growing number of data science, computing and statistics students at UC Berkeley, providing an academic experience that can cater to as many people as possible is paramount. 

So, the question becomes: How do people make class friends into actual friends? How do we discern between friendships that are transactional and convenient versus friendships that are meant to be? 

So, now that it’s summertime and some of us have a bit more free time, if you’re ever bored or looking for something new to try, I suggest learning to solve a Rubik’s Cube. I also think it’s a pretty cool party trick to have up your sleeve. While I am not claiming to be an expert “speedcuber,” I thought I’d share techniques that helped me — an 11-year-old beginner — get the hang of it.

Some may get tired of living in the same neighborhood for their entire life, but I love it. I’ve been able to see the way it’s changed, see who’s come and gone, watched the neighborhood kids grow up and been able to make many memories here.
