Katy Abbott was the fall 2015 and spring 2016 managing editor. She began working at the Daily Cal as a copy editor, going on to serve as the night editor in spring 2015, where she ruthlessly eliminated Oxford commas and dangling modifiers. She also wrote for the news department, starting as a general assignment reporter in summer 2014 and later covering crime and courts in fall 2014.
