Dressing for the school year always helps me stay motivated to actually complete school work. Hopefully the weather will soon reach the classic Bay Area mid-60’s temperatures, but until then, we’ve just got to improvise.

After a full two years of managing to avoid the coronavirus, I fell ill last spring and had to move to the COVID-19 isolation dorms, where I spent nine days before leaving home for spring break. Although I grumbled and complained to my friends, that period of relative separation from other people provided an important opportunity to reflect on myself and on what I do purely for others. 

I have had to learn that, unfortunately, “healthy” eating can often seem monetarily inaccessible. But by using some of these tips and tricks, I have been able to feel better without breaking the bank.
