With its captivating alternative rock base and just enough electronic music to keep things interesting, the album is as catchy as it is savage.

While the record is certainly enough to soundtrack your next island getaway and then some, it’s probably something that’ll end up being played in the background and nothing more.

Marrying elements of hardcore, goth and industrial music,  as well as sprinkling in a few other tunes that propelled him to fame, the singer proved that he’s still got the showman qualities that made his shows 40 years ago truly spectacular.

Released June 18, Crash of the Crown, the band’s latest endeavor, is anything but a fall from grace — it only reinforces the band as the rock powerhouse that it is. 

Even through the screen, The Aces were able to create an environment and show that was incredibly uplifting and welcoming, a true safe space for members of the queer community to celebrate Pride.

Some bands stop while they’re ahead, but King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard has defied all laws of record production to put out yet another excellent album.

Overall, the show had great production quality, making viewers feel as if they were eavesdropping on Jones’ studio recording sessions as the camera slowly panned around her at the piano.

The song is a manifestation of her happy place on the beach without a care in the world, and it’s a way of life we all should truly be living. 

From the self-assured vibe to the preachings for listeners to love themselves, “Glidin’” is a song made for the clubs and for the shows.

The Black Keys are clearly having a great time cranking out the jangly jams of their musical forefathers, adding some extra polish and fine-tuning to the latest leg of their blues journey.
