I embarked on this journey this semester of exposure therapy, in which I aim to do the opposite of what I would normally do or want to do. This was all in an effort to confront all my anxious thoughts and to remind myself that creating this illusion of romanticism being the only remedy to reality is not a sustainable mindset. 

These are the changes to my daily habits that I want to implement so that I not only prevent burnout again after the break but also finish the semester strong and with confidence while caring for my mental health.

Even when living in what I think is the most beautiful city in the world – Utrecht – during my time abroad, the school year or just day-to-day life can get stressful. When that happens, I like to focus on the little things that bring me joy and remind me that the world around me isn’t just about stress.

As an avid admirer of the botanical, I absolutely adore having a range of plants and flowers in my home. Not only do they freshen up and lighten our living spaces, but they also teach us a responsibility for our environment as we care for and nurture our plants.

Throwing a surprise party can be extremely nerve-wracking, especially in a shared living space where the person you are trying to surprise can walk in at any given moment.
