Located just 90 miles north of Los Angeles is Santa Barbara, a beautiful beach town with plenty of activities and adventures. The weather stays in the 70s pretty much all year round and is a perfect place for a getaway.

I allowed myself to consider other possibilities — after all, the beauty of traveling alone was that anything could happen.

That’s just a primer for the wonders that await you in the city. Having lived in Singapore for 10 years, here are a couple of the activities and landmarks that you must visit during your time there.

I have never been a huge fan of dating apps. In fact, I had sworn off of them several months ago, after another relationship with someone I had met online had dramatically imploded.

From the hustle and bustle to the rational fear of missing a flight — such negative feelings are common. In order to combat these emotions in full swing, here are some tips that I find  helpful when traveling by airplane. 

I would head back to the airport eventually, but I didn’t feel like rushing. I let the hours pass by as I explored the city and felt grateful that I had chosen to explore Naples, if only for the day.

As someone born and raised in Newport Beach, Orange County, I find that most of my personal writing related to my hometown involves lamenting its very prevalent issues. But despite my mixed relationship with the place, I can’t deny that I often have a good time when I go back to visit.

I began my foray into the world of scuba diving in Mexico, during the last few days of my month-long stay in Baja California Sur. Since I had always loved being in the water, the idea of diving intrigued me, and I pictured myself frolicking alongside marine life as if I was a mermaid.
