After bouncing from San Diego to Stanford to Texas, the Bears will finally compete at their home track this weekend. This year’s meet will feature a new three-day schedule.

Splitting up between Texas Relays and the Stanford Invitational, the Bears’ track and field magic was on full display with personal bests, podium finishes, and three top-10 program marks.

Facing both Pac-12 and nonconference competitors in San Diego, the Bears were able to find individual successes, with the men’s hammer throw and pole vault squads leading the way.

The Bears are set to compete against numerous Pac-12 teams for the first time this outdoor season, including Oregon and Washington. While the Bears have proved their skill thus far, these teams will certainly provide Cal with a challenge.

Shining bright at Stanford were the men’s hammer throwers and women’s pole vaulters who totaled two meet records and four top-10 program marks.

This Saturday Cal track and field will keep the rivalry alive as it heads to Stanford for the Cardinal Classic. After a faulty start to the outdoor season at the Cal Opener earlier this month, this invitational will mark the season debut for the majority of the team.

This weekend's competition marked momentous firsts and lasts for the Bears. Competing in the weight throw, decorated senior Camryn Rogers took on the circle for the final time of her collegiate career.

Representing the Bears in Albuquerque this weekend will be seniors Camryn Rogers and Hakim McMorris. In the women’s weight throw and men’s heptathlon, these two seniors will face off against the nation’s best athletes.

With the closing of a historic indoor season, the Bears now welcome the outdoor season with open arms. On Saturday, Edwards Stadium will be brought back to life as the Bears compete on their home turf.

Battling at the penultimate meet of the indoor season, junior Jada Hicks and sophomore David Foster earned two program records. Many Bears did not make the cut for nationals, but notable performances were still seen across the board.
