With the exception of the Transfer Student Representative, no transfer students were elected to senate or executive positions in the spring 2023 ASUC election cycle.

ASUC senators condemned the Biden administration's new proposed federal rule that will restrict entry for asylum seekers at the southwestern U.S. border during the weekly Senate meeting Wednesday.

ASUC Chief Communications Officer and transfer student Ryan Barba resigned from his position in the communications office along with the rest of his team at an ASUC Senate meeting Nov. 30, citing a lack of sense of belonging within the organization and feelings of alleged anti-transfer sentiment from senators.

The results were announced Friday during the first in-person tabulations ceremony since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
