In a game defined by momentum shifts, the Bears turned up the heat to take the Sun Devils, 24-21.

Though fall is finally approaching with cooler weather and foggy skies, Arizona and Arizona State will bring the heat back to the Bay this weekend. After a win at Washington, Cal women’s soccer will return to Edwards Stadium for two matchups Thursday and Sunday.

Last weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah, Cal volleyball, again, found itself incurring dents in the shining armor of its 11-0 preseason record. Coming off of a loss in their Pac-12 opener against Stanford, the Bears fell just short in a five-set battle to Utah.

“He’s one of our best players, he’s team captain voted on by everybody — my heart breaks for him,” said Cal head coach Justin Wilcox. “It means a lot to him, and it’s unfortunate.”

This move will bring the ACC’s membership to 18 schools and will entirely rewrite each program’s expectations in scheduling, as well as media revenue in years to come.

The Trojans won both the regular season and the tournament for the first time since 2019.

The Pac-12 tournament will begin Wednesday, with the Bears kicking off play against the Arizona State Sun Devils.

For the first time since 2020, the Bears won back-to-back games against the Aggies and Ducks. However, the Buffs did not let them celebrate for long and beat the Bears 19-9.

Cal baseball headed east to Salt Lake City to win a three-game weekend series against the Utah Utes.

Cal baseball continued to struggle against conference opponents this weekend, getting swept by eighth-seeded rival Stanford.
