Tyann Sorrell alleges campus administrators failed to adequately address sexual harassment complaints

When Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Claude Steele told Tyann Sorrell in October 2015 that the UC Berkeley School of Law’s dean’s salary would be cut by 10 percent for one year after he violated university sexual harassment policies against her, Sorrell was speechless.

Fewer than two days after news of a lawsuit filed against the dean of the UC Berkeley School of Law reached the public sphere, hundreds of newly admitted Berkeley Law students arrived on campus Thursday afternoon to scope out the campus’s law program.
