Bear's Lair Tavern

Described as a “strong leader” and “fierce advocate,” Bahar Navab began her appointment as UC Berkeley’s associate dean of students and executive director of the ASUC Student Union on May 1.

The ASUC Senate chambers were abuzz with excitement Aug. 28 as this year’s new senate class held its first meeting, marked by a visit from Chancellor Carol Christ.

Bear’s Lair Tavern, a campus restaurant and pub at 2465 Bancroft Way, closed temporarily in April for an unknown period of time, according to a note on its door.

The Bear’s Lair, an on-campus restaurant at 2495 Bancroft Way, is expected to reopen in mid-September with a remodeled look, a new name and a new owner.
