This time, Berkeley College Republicans, or BCR, was able to work successfully with UCPD and staff at Cal Performances to host Coulter without any major disruptions at the event.

UC Berkeley has nothing short of a national reputation that seems to be foremost defined by its history of political activism.

Wednesday’s demonstration that attracted more than a thousand protestors in opposition to conservative author Ann Coulter’s immigration policy speech on campus resulted in several arrests, one reported injury and a human barricade that surrounded the entire venue. 

Conservative author Ann Coulter spoke Wednesday to a crowd of about 400 in UC Berkeley’s Wheeler Hall, as more than a thousand protested outside.

On Monday, UC Berkeley students banded together on Sproul Plaza in support of the city’s inaugural United Against Hate Week.

The ideas she espouses only agitate communities that are already on edge, thanks to regressive immigration efforts by the current administration.

Ann Coulter is scheduled to speak on the UC Berkeley campus, two and a half years after withdrawing her controversial campus speech amid safety concerns.

UC Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies, or IGS, released two new polls last week highlighting emerging voter preferences toward party candidates in California’s 2020 primary races, honing in on the sentiments of likely voters.

On one side were conservative demonstrators — led by Trump supporter Amber Cummings — who believe that they were participating in a righteous crusade to rid UC Berkeley of its leftist hegemony. On the other side were left-wing groups that call themselves “anti-fascists” while making true fascists proud of their attempts at censorship.

By Any Means Necessary, or BAMN, activist Yvette Felarca has filed a petition to the California State Supreme Court to reverse the order that she must pay over $11,000 in legal fees to former president of the Berkeley College Republicans, or BCR, Troy Worden.
