Berkeley City Council ends parking requirements for new housing

Berkeley City Council voted to remove minimum parking requirements for new housing, in hopes of promoting green transportation and lower rents. 

On Tuesday, Berkeley City Council voted to remove minimum off-street parking requirements for new housing developments in hopes of promoting green transportation alternatives and help lower rent prices throughout the city.
