Ducournau loses hold of the rope a couple times, but her movie must, absolutely, be experienced. Buckle up.

In a country with no official language, how can any be called “foreign?” When a person speaks a “foreign” language, does this then also make their stories foreign, other? 

Universally celebrated for their sharp, socio-political commentary, their stories all, to varying degrees, revolve around a moderately sympathetic lower class violently rising up against the elite.

As the night progressed, viewers saw the expected winners triumph in the acting categories, while the night’s top awards saw stunning, historic upsets.    

Even though the film currently occupies a relatively distant second place, “Parasite” still has a chance to pull a major upset, however.

Colin Trevorrow might not be a director on the public's radar yet, but having been handed the reins for “Star Wars: Episode IX,” he soon will be. But is he the right choice for the galaxy from far, far away?

Though thoughtful and innocent at times, the film juggles too much, attempting to critique both capitalism and its opponents but with little resolution on either side.

While the debate between the streaming giants of today versus the studios, exhibitors, festival directors and cinephilic spectators will always exist, Netflix’s ability to offer such distinctive visions should be commended rather than chastised.
