If you didn’t get the chance to visit Bowles Hall during its open house or don’t have a friend who can swipe you in, check out these photos to compare the differences between what Bowles used to be and what it is now.

Bowles Hall reopened this year as a privately-operated, coed residential college, culminating an 11-year effort to revitalize the stately manor that has further stratified the array of housing options available to UC Berkeley undergraduates.

The private Bowles Hall Foundation will sell several million dollars’ worth of bonds in May to cover the costs of renovation of Bowles Hall, currently a campus-run residential hall.

After finals end and the last Bowlesmen move out, Bowles Hall will become a co-ed, privately-run student residence in 2016.
