Researchers from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health found a correlation between childhood exposure to glyphosate, the most commonly used herbicide, and liver inflammation and metabolic disorder in early adulthood, which could lead to diabetes, cardiovascular disease and liver cancer in later life.

The statement came after a Twitter user warned that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement appeared to have arrived at Berkeley City College on June 24.

Throughout the last two decades, UC Berkeley Public Health faculty member Dr. Brenda Eskenazi and her team have worked diligently on the longest-running longitudinal birth cohort study of pesticides in the world.
