Cal Dining cafes Brown’s, Goldie’s open on campus

Offering drinks from Peet's Coffee as well as food, Brown's and Goldie's are open to students after the pandemic saw the closing of many campus cafes.

Brown’s California Café, or brown’s, at the UC Berkeley Genetics and Plant Biology Building and Goldie’s at the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union recently became open for students to enjoy.

Animal rights activists representing the group Direct Action Everywhere, or DxE, dyed a fountain on Sproul Plaza red Monday and called on UC Berkeley to commit to stop purchasing from meat suppliers that allegedly raise animals on factory farms.
