Working as a graduate student at UC Berkeley, one of the top public research institutions in the world, can seem like a dream. After UC Berkeley announced its plans for fall, students need to consider housing options both on and off campus.

Campus housing will continue to be available during the summer despite classes being conducted remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Buehner initially intended to live in campus housing for both his junior and senior years, but he only received an offer after the fifth round of cycles. His option? A triple on the Clark Kerr Campus with two newly admitted freshman.

This number applies to San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo counties, but other places in the Bay Area are becoming more expensive as well.
