The Bears’ last tournament was far from what they hoped — the team finished 10th overall out of 11 competing teams — in part because of the absence of Jang. Jang, who was out last week because of an injury she has been battling all season, is back in the lineup just in time for the Bears’ regional tournament.

After their second time around the course Monday, the Bears once again finished the day 8th overall. While the team didn’t move up the leaderboard, its ability to stay consistent, especially in a tournament with so many ranked opponents, was important.

With a little more than a week to prepare for the Pac-12 Championship, the Bears are right where they want to be.

The tournament was formatted so that the top eight teams participating advanced to a knockout match play bracket, then played based off of seeds determined by which position they finished in overall in the qualifying round.

Although the team battled injuries and weather once again, Li’s consistent play and Wold’s quick turnaround both offer hope for the Bears as they continue into their spring season.

After the long break which separates the fall and spring seasons, the Cal women’s golf team kicked off their spring season at the Bruin Wave Invitational, finishing T-11 out of 16 teams.

The Cal women’s golf team fell back into old habits in the Pac-12 conference championship.

The Cal women's golf team finished tied for fourth (+5) in arguably its best performance of the spring season, with Stanford winning the tournament (-16).

Cal women's golf will take part in the Silverado Showdown in need of a great showing.
