While structural and systemic change is necessary to help the planet, we as individuals can do our part by developing sustainable living habits.

On that day, we rallied for climate action and called for our state and federal government to endorse a Green New Deal. Now, we are demanding our own.

In 2018, Berkeley became the first city in California — the second in the country — to declare a climate emergency. In the time since, 23 other California cities and counties have followed us in passing such declarations.
