This weekend, the Bears will be migrating out of Bear Territory and into a familiar southern territory — Los Angeles. Cal will be facing long-time rivals USC and UCLA on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

On its first weekend back in Haas Pavilion, Cal volleyball hoped to redeem its previous losses against the Washington teams but fell short once again.

Coming off of a dominant win against Pittsburgh, the Cal women’s swim and dive team will take on Washington State on Friday at the Spieker Aquatics Center.

A late Cougar equalizer condemned Cal to a 1-1 home draw with Washington State — the fourth straight for the Bears since beating Arizona 2-0 on Sept. 28.

Cal women’s soccer continues conference play this Friday, welcoming Washington State to Edwards Stadium. Despite being undefeated in five Pac-12 matchups, the Bears have only won one of their last four games.

Cal volleyball fell into a deeper hole last weekend with two Pac-12 losses in Washington. A tall task to begin with, No. 4 Washington State and Washington handed the Bears with ease.

After an eventful weekend the Bears are set to play No. 4 Washington State on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by a match against Washington on Sunday at 12 p.m.

The restraining order will prevent the departing members from formal discussion until the future of conference ownership and governance is decided. Washington State and Oregon State are vying for complete Pac-12 ownership, while the 10 withdrawing universities are seeking to dissolve the conference and split assets equally.

Thanks to a second-half surge, the blue and gold sealed the win over the Cougars 55-31 and advanced to play Navy in the championship game.

The Bears and Cougars will face off for a chance to play in the finals.
