Neighborhood associations raise frustrations with campus-owned property in city

The six-story building located at 2850 Telegraph Ave. is one of several sites owned by UC Berkeley listed in the neighborhood newsletter, which alleges that the campus's tax-exempt status has led to multimillion dollar losses in revenue for the city.

A recent newsletter published by Berkeley’s Council of Neighborhood Associations says that UC Berkeley has not been paying enough for city services as a tax-exempt entity, leading to millions in lost municipal revenue.
