Berkeley school district updates vaccine policy to include COVID-19 booster

Amid the city's COVID-19 surge, Berkeley Unified School District's Board of Education voted to add the COVID-19 booster shot to its vaccine mandate for all eligible students.

During its Wednesday meeting, the district approved amendments to its current policies for both students and teachers, changing the definition of “fully-vaccinated” to include the COVID-19 booster shot for those deemed eligible by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
