The rebellious spirit of the 60s has carried into the modern day, and though it can’t enact much change on its own, it does provide some much-needed hope, as well as a rough blueprint for those hoping to enact change. 

While their music proves timeless, it sonically doesn’t offer much of anything new compared to last year’s Barn. Still, World Record offers some delicious, non-GMO food for thought.

For Neil Young, love doesn’t burn out, and it doesn’t fade away — it slowly browns over until it’s a singed remnant of what once was.

Though each song and each lyric feels incredibly intentional, the album is not meant to be pretty or polished.

Whether he is 25 or 75, Neil Young is a true musical veteran, and if Young Shakespeare is any indication, his poetic prowess stands the test of time.
