Pastor Mike McBride of The Way Christian Center and co-founder of the Black Church PAC held an emergency meeting Saturday morning in response to “immediate threats” concerning gun violence and voting rights.

Science must be nonpartisan and tangibly inform political decision making. Scientists of both parties are obligated to model the nonpartisan nature of science, to ensure that these decisions are made with bipartisan engagement and uncompromised scientific support.

In response to this partisan fury, a student group called BridgeCal took on the courageous task of easing tensions by creating a space where all voices are welcomed.
