Bring ’em out; Bears begin fall camp

At the beginning of practice, speakers blared and Gucci Mane’s “Met Gala” set the the tone for camp, but a short while later, the music was gone in what seemed like an even bigger change in tone. While it was only the first day of camp, it was clear that the Bears were hard at work, and with good reason. Outlining Cal football’s 2017 linebacker lineup

Cal’s rushing defense was significantly weaker than its passing defense in the 2016 season. If the change to a 3–4 strategy and the addition of a backer can slow the game on the ground, the Bears’ defense could see large improvement.
