If you find yourself in the Berkeley area this Thanksgiving break, here are a few suggestions for how to make the most of your time!

Nicholas Alexander has “grown up on himself,” learning to cook while navigating the foster care system. As a UC Berkeley student, Alexander would host dinner parties at his residence. Now, he cooks meals for the residents of People’s Park. 

In preparation for plans to build student and supportive housing, UC Berkeley Capital Strategies, which oversees campus development, temporarily closed sections of People’s Park on Tuesday for soil and safety testing.
