Incumbent Rashi Kesarwani has been declared victorious for Berkeley City Council District 1 with 50.03% of the votes as of 1:19 a.m. Saturday with 100% of the precincts accounted for.

Incumbent Jenny Wong has won the race for Berkeley city auditor with 10,388 votes as of 10:47 p.m. Tuesday with 100% of precincts accounted for.

Golden Gate University Law director of academic achievement and associate dean for online education Reichi Lee is running for the Berkeley school district's board.

Proposition 17 would reenfranchise California parolees and give them the chance to reintegrate into society if passed in November.

Victoria Fierce, co-founder of East Bay for Everyone and director of operations for the California Renters Legal Advocacy and Education Fund, is running for the AC Transit Board of Directors at-large seat.

Half of the city council could see a change come November, and there are fourteen people running in total for the four district seats.

One factor for many voters this November is a candidate’s endorsements. Individuals of local and national renown have weighed in on the slew of candidates vying for four Berkeley City Council seats in the Nov. 6 election.

Alfred Twu — a Berkeley designer, UC Berkeley alumnus and environmental advocate — is running for Berkeley City Council’s District 8 seat, currently held by Councilmember Lori Droste.

Senator and former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders individually endorsed Christina Murphy, Alejandro Soto-Vigil, Leah Simon-Weisberg and Igor Tregub — the four members of the CALI slate running for the city's Rent Stabilization Board.

The East Bay Young Democrats, or EBYD, overwhelmingly voted to endorse Berkeley City Councilmember Jesse Arreguin for mayor, in an announcement released Aug. 29.
