Berkeley clears hurdle in effort to implement 1st cellphone public health ordinance in US

On Monday, United States District Judge Edward Chen granted the City of Berkeley the ability to pass a revised cellphone public health ordinance warning against the level of radiofrequency exposure from cell phone use.

Judge to consider dismissing lawsuit alleging UC failed to protect former student

At the UC Board of Regent’s request, a U.S. District Court judge will consider next Thursday whether to dismiss a lawsuit alleging that the university neglected to protect a former student and her son from domestic violence.
