Sutton’s platforms include expanding resources available to transfer students, establishing ways to support student veterans and increasing representation for low-income minorities on campus.

Junior transfer Yasamin Hatefi is running for ASUC Senate with the Elevate Cal coalition on a platform of increasing transfer student representation.

UC Berkeley sophomore Soha Manzoor is representing Elevate Cal in her campaign for ASUC Senate in the upcoming April election.

UC Berkeley junior transfer Aileen Sanchez is running for the ASUC transfer representative position with the Elevate Cal coalition. 

ASUC senator Stephanie Wong announced her campaign for re-election to the ASUC senate with the Elevate Cal coalition on Mar. 11.

UC Berkeley senior Carlos Vázquez is running for the ASUC Senate with Elevate Cal on a platform centered around improving resources for disabled students, promoting cross-cultural solidarity and enhancing parent-student relationships. 

Students often think of March and April as a time to take midterms, party over spring break and reluctantly come back to class the next week.

As allegations of bullying and verbal harassment surfaced, Elevate Cal decided to drop ASUC Senate candidate Jake Sim, who is now running independent of any entity, from its coalition. 

ASUC presidential candidate Chaka Tellem is running for the office in hopes of building a better Berkeley, one he said will center students’ needs.
