“This song has always been a result of feeling like ‘I want to be like somebody else,’ or ‘I wish I could fit in like everybody else,’ ” said lead singer Sydney Sierota in an interview with The Daily Californian. “In the past 10 years while doing music, we've really grown up with our songs. This song is one that we've seen a lot of people relate to over the years. Honestly, I'm still relating to it today, maybe for different reasons than I did 10 years ago.”
