“My Cousin Rachel” is a tease at best — which is unfortunate, because it had the potential to be an exciting dark romance, thriller, mystery or all of the above.

As I look back, I realize that the synthesis of these three trips is my interaction with time. Three days will never be enough to truly experience any city’s art and culture. But the time intrinsic within that art and culture allows one to have a deep connection to those cities’ space.

“Crimes of the Heart” is uneven but the relationship between the three sisters is recognizable and touching.

For most of us, midterm season is an excuse to frown at each other so we can get some damn work done. That’s only natural when your brain is overworked and sleep-deprived with endless distractions looming in the way. But for some people, life is an excuse to be grumpy. And members of that latter group are probably Curmudgeons.
