A pedestrian was taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland after being hit by a vehicle near Gourmet Ghetto in North Berkeley on Sunday evening, according to Berkeley Police Department, or BPD, Lt. Dave Lindenau.

UC Berkeley Professor Emeritus Tim Wallace, 90, was sent to the hospital with moderate injuries after being hit by a car in a Telegraph Avenue crosswalk Saturday night, as first reported by Berkeleyside.

Car accident kills 77-year-old Berkeley resident

Clark died at Highland Hospital in Oakland several hours after the collision, as first reported by Berkeleyside. The Coroner’s Bureau of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as Clark on Saturday.

Explosion in West Berkeley apartment sends woman to hospital

Berkeley Fire Department was called to the apartment building at 1213 San Pablo Ave. around 1:30 p.m., BFD spokesperson Keith May told Berkeleyside. The explosion blew out windows in at least one room and firefighters who arrived on scene extinguished a small fire, resulting in an estimated $2,000 worth of damage.

Arson arrest made on Grizzly Peak Boulevard minutes after Berkeley Hills fire begins

UCPD arrested a suspect Wednesday afternoon for an alleged incident involving arson that occurred on Grizzly Peak Boulevard at 1:07 p.m., one minute after Berkeley Police Department and Berkeley Fire Department received a report of “a column of smoke and flames” in the direction of the Berkeley Hills at 1:06 p.m.
