Cal is losing yet another valuable contributor to what little offensive firepower it had

In their last game of the season, the Bears were looking for redemption and momentum against the No. 18 UCLA Bruins. Instead, they found loss.

Achieving breakout feats on the field is new to Sturdivant this season, yet his poise and athletic prowess may shroud the 20-year-old in a veteran disguise — natural, one may denote. Maybe that’s because he is. The successor of an excellent athletic genepool, Sturdivant was destined to trounce his own achievements in the sporting world. 

Since he was young, the star Cal wide receiver has known that his passion lies with football — but his purpose lies with family.

You could perhaps say Cal football is in its flop era. It’s dropping balls and throwing games it’s predicted to win.

On paper, it didn’t seem like the game would be close. For moments, Cal’s better days were re-lived during Saturday’s 28-21 loss.

A defensive struggle in the first half became an offensive showcase in the second as Cal came up short against the Washington Huskies.
