In the 119th edition of the Big Game, the Stanford football team once again proved its superiority over Cal, winning 45-31 Saturday at Memorial Stadium, for its seventh consecutive victory over the Bears.

Sitting down to write a column after a Cal football loss has become an all-too-common occurrence in the past few years. Since Sonny Dykes took the helm for the 2013 season, the Bears have recorded a single winning season.

While there may have been many bright spots early on this season highlighted by dramatic home wins, it looks like reality’s starting to hit the Bears.

Although the Packers lost to the Colts in week nine, Rodgers has shown much improvement over the past three weeks. During this time span, he has 10 touchdown passes and just one interception. He has carried the offensive burden of a team with virtually no running game.
