UC Berkeley, city of Berkeley COVID-19 cases, trend updates

Since the start of the 2020 fall semester at UC Berkeley, there have been 93 positive cases of COVID-19 and 26,480 administered tests, according to the campus coronavirus dashboard. Amid the ongoing pandemic, UC Berkeley Chancellor Carol Christ recently announced in an email that the 2021 spring semester will begin “fully remote.”

In the last month, UC Berkeley has seen a decrease in the proportion of the reported number of people testing positive for COVID-19 and the number of people being tested. As of Monday, the city of Berkeley has seen an overall decrease in the average number of reported cases.
