For Cal men’s water polo, the Overnght MPSF Invitational could be considered its Achilles heel. 2023 marks the third consecutive year in which the Bears suffered their first loss of the season at the tournament.

Sitting solidly at No. 2 in the rankings, the Cal men's water polo team is looking to add another tally mark to its ongoing streak against its bitter rival.

At home and hungry for more, the Bears will need to focus and work together if they want to come out on top in the Sunday game against UCSB.

To put its dominance into perspective, Cal outscored its opponents by a whopping 9.25 margin; moreover, only one out of four teams was able to score in the double digits against the Bears.
