Among other mental health struggles the movie hopes to address, “Dear Evan Hansen” highlights how grief can destroy a family while sparking revelations in one’s knowledge of themselves.

Before I went to high school, I didn’t register the Valley’s role in our upbringing — I hadn’t realized we’re, like, literally Valley girls.

All of these films have fantastic relationships between women at the core of their respective screenplays, which is something worth celebrating.

So, for this final week of March, here are my picks of things made by women for everyone to appreciate. 

"Booksmart” understands the stakes of this specific quarterlife crisis, spinning an entertaining thread before falling prey to its tendency to sugarcoat the situation.

“Booksmart” is a story of female friendship. And Wilde made clear that she wanted to highlight the enthusiasm coming from different people.
