Lack of accuracy ends Cal ‘s Pac-12 Tournament run against Stanford

The downfall for the Bears was 3-point shooting, as when Anigwe was taken out of the equation by the Cardinal defense, Cal relied heavily on the deep shot. The Bears, however, made only one (yes, one) of their 13 attempts behind the arc in the second half.

Cal women’s basketball ready to make noise at Pac-12 Championships

Good 3-point shooting teams always have a puncher’s chance against any opponent, and Cal will definitely have one in this tournament. The Bears are a 36 percent 3-point shooting team, but they are shooting a blazing 44.4 percent behind the arc in their four-game winning streak.

Anigwe breaks records as Cal women’s basketball wins 4th straight

Cal finished the conference with a 9-9 Pac-12 record, and a recent increase in performance probably clinched them a berth in March Madness, as the Bears are projected as the eighth seed in ESPN’s bracket predictions.

Cal women’s basketball hosts Arizona schools for final homestand

In its first meeting with the Bears in January, Arizona State largely bottled up Cal’s offense en route to a 62-61 win. Kristine Anigwe was held to just 5-17 from the field, and no other starter scored more than 7 points.

Road woes continue as Cal women’s basketball drops 2 games in SoCal

After another 0-2 weekend, the Bears now sit at 5-9 in conference play and have dropped to ninth place in the Pac-12. While they’ve remained competitive against the top tier of the conference, their only win against the top six teams was on a buzzer-beater versus Stanford.

Cal women’s basketball’s historic weekend clouded by 2 losses

Cal closed out the toughest stretch of the season, playing four top-10 matchups and managing to steal one game. Even though the weekend ended with two losses, the Bears gained a lot of learning experience by going head to head with the top teams in the nation.
