Spirits were high and the Bears were able to practice in the competition venue prior to the actual meet. But still, they fell short of their goals and ended in fourth place with a final team score of 388.600.

Last Saturday at Haas Pavilion, Cal men’s gymnastics welcomed No. 1 Oklahoma to its last home meet of the season to face off in a head-to-head battle of technique and endurance.

While the Bears were bested in competition, the team finally proved it could stand strong — Cal gymnasts hit 28 of their 30 routines.

After ending their last meet knowing they had more to give, the Bears look to wrap the season up nicely starting with their final meet at home in Haas Pavilion.

Cal men’s gymnastics ripped through its previous season-high score 393 with 401.150, which was accompanied by legions of season bests and personal records.

No. 9 Cal men’s gymnastics was able to master both fight and flight –– flying and fighting their way through the Pac-12 Invite, claiming second place.

The Cal men’s gymnastics team, clad in blue and gold, stood out against the army of red and white that made up No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 1 Stanford.
