Berkeley population trends young, largely due to campus demographics

The American Community Survey reported median ages for cities in the Bay Area, connecting median ages with economic opportunities and housing supply.
The American Community Survey, or ACS, conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau revealed that the city of Berkeley has a median age of 31.1 years old — the youngest of the Bay Area’s 15 most populous cities.
