On the bottom floor of a Downtown Berkeley radio studio, hosts of Berkeley’s free-speech radio station KPFA revive the spirit of Malcolm X and denounce critics of climate change. In between segments, they urge listeners to donate money to the financially frail station.

Court places restraining order on recall election for local radio station

The Alameda County Superior Court issued a temporary restraining order at a hearing Wednesday morning, instructing the Pacifica Foundation to sequester the ballots of Berkeley-based radio station KPFA’s recall election.

Local radio station sends out recall ballot after lengthy delay

After an almost seven month delay, ballots were sent out Thursday to Berkeley-based radio station KPFA’s staff and members to vote on the recall of one of the station’s local board members.
