“Chapter 16: The Rescue” opens with a bang, and the energy never wavers. Mando and company are on a mission to rescue Grogu from Moff Gideon, a quest that Mando has made clear will not be impeded by anyone.

But given that “Star Wars” is the reason why I love movies, the best entry in the franchise is, by association, my favorite film.

Despite offering a surprisingly eclectic spread of nominees, the 90th Academy Awards proved to be utterly, boringly predictable.

All in all, though, “Brigsby Bear” does not ask for much. It earns more chuckles than belly laughs, and it’s more strangely endearing than it is sad.

As McCary explained, “At the end of the day, Kyle’s and my experience of falling in love with filmmaking together as best friends is very much mirrored in the movie. That’s a really magical part of our journey.”

Even though the highly anticipated eighth film in the Skywalker saga is still eight months away, fans can now enter a frenzied stage of speculation.
