UC, CA secretary of state sign resolution to increase voter participation

The resolution is intended to bolster rising student voting rates by establishing ballot drop boxes or voting centers on all 10 UC campuses.

The UC regents and the California secretary of state partnered to sign a resolution Wednesday intended to increase student voter participation by ensuring all 10 UC campuses have ballot drop boxes or voting centers.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed SB 118, the Senate version of a bill that increases fall 2022 enrollment at UC Berkeley and reverses the effects of the lawsuit that froze enrollment at 2020-21 levels, after it passed unanimously in the state Assembly and Senate.
