“Orlando, My Political Biography” is simultaneously a recreation of scenes from Woolf’s novel, a reflection on the meaning of gender within a disadvantaged community and a response to Woolf herself, as well as the continued relevance of her novel.

So here I am presenting myself. I am scared but happier than I’ve ever been. I can finally be myself. I am a trans woman.

Should transgender people feel the need to keep changes to themselves, sacrificing their comfort so others don't have to struggle in transition with them?
