Northside’s newest coffee shop might sound like an average cafe — the whir of milk steamers rising above the din of conversations and computer keys — but its glass chandeliers, marble floors and extensive menu tell another story.

The Night Safety Northside Line Shuttle is back in service and started Sunday night, according to UC Berkeley Parking and Transportation Services.

It is not a new experience and is especially relevant at UC Berkeley. And with enrollment increasing every year, the question and debates around housing are only growing, and with them, the conversations around the problems students face living in Berkeley.

Brown’s California Café, or brown’s, at the UC Berkeley Genetics and Plant Biology Building and Goldie’s at the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union recently became open for students to enjoy.

Bánh Mì & Rolls Factory opened Wednesday, providing Berkeley’s Northside with Vietnamese dishes such as banh mi sandwiches and spring rolls.
